My name is Dr. LaVerne Washington, but my spiritual daughters call me Mama Washington.

 

As I look back at my life, I know that the Lord has brought me through deep valleys, painful seasons, and traumatic heartache to prepare me to love and inspire daughter after daughter. 

 

Blindly married to an addict for 27 years ago, repeatedly saving my beloved brother from his battle with drugs, and mothering a man who lost himself to drugs, and today, married to a recovered addict of 20 years. I have known the pain of addiction and the victory of recovery.

 

The struggle from a life surrounded by addiction coupled with the struggle of extensive study has prepared me to carry you until you can walk again, my daughter. 

 

In this moment, I am offering to help those who, like myself, may be exhausted by the guilt, shame, and never-ending challenges of themselves or their loved ones struggling with addiction. 

 

There is no magic--just robust guidance born from my heart for women who are lost in the same way that I was 20 years ago. I will mother you into reclaiming your peace, your freedom, and your power. Take my hand, my daughter. Let's journey together.
